apollon receives seal of quality “Software Made in Germany”

apollon, leading software provider for marketing automation and product data communication, has received the quality seal “Software Made in Germany” from the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMi). The in-house development Online Media Net was awarded and is now one of the BITMi certified products.

Software Made in Germany
Software Made in Germany is a seal of quality of the initiative of the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMi). The quality seal is awarded to German software solutions that impress with their practicality, quality, investment security and service. The certification is based on the criteria “100% service”, “100% quality” and “100% future” and a statement of satisfaction from the software customer, each of which is checked by BITMi.

BITMi is the representative body of the IT SME sector in Germany and the IT trade association that exclusively represents SME interests in a high-profile manner. Since 2013, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) has assumed patronage of the initiative. Besides apollon and its software Online Media Net, 391 companies and 584 products belong to the seal bearers (as of October 2022).

Online Media Net „Made in Germany”
With the successful receipt of the seal, apollon has proven that the solution “Online Media Net” has fulfilled all required criteria. This included first of all that the manufacturer of the software is a company based in Germany and that the main manufacturing steps of the software take place in Germany. Since its foundation in 2015, nothing has changed at the main location in Pforzheim. In the course of time, even two additional locations in Germany were added, with the manufacturing steps taking place at the main site.

A further decisive factor was that the quality of the software is assured in Germany. Likewise, the user interface, the help system, the documentation and the service and support for the end user must be multilingual or in German. In addition to quality assurance, which is carried out exclusively at the main site, Online Media Net’s design, programming, service and support also come directly from Pforzheim. In software development, apollon attaches particular importance to an agile approach. This not only enables an iterative approach with short feedback cycles, the customers are involved for a satisfying cooperation and exchange information directly with the apollon experts. Workshops, training courses and the support hotline – by telephone or e-mail, are held in German or English. Documentation is available in both languages.

The last decisive criterion was the future-proofing of the software. This has been contractually assured by apollon for the intended use. Continuous further developments, open interfaces to upstream or downstream systems in product data communication and the use of the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence are just a few examples of what apollon customers can rely on. In addition, the flexible structure of Online Media Net enables customers to adapt the solution conveniently at any time. Through numerous partnerships with leading technology providers, apollon opens up further automation options within its own software for customers.

The certification was rounded off with a satisfaction statement. The company HELLMUT RUCK, longtime customer of apollon, stated that the expectations placed on Online Media Net are fulfilled and the required criteria, especially the investment security is completely confirmed. Thus, RUCK emphasized the success of the software and the services that go with it.

“Thanks to the British, “Made in Germany” has now become a hallmark of quality. In the meantime, the expression is internationally known and companies that are allowed to carry this seal represent the highest quality. For this reason, I am incredibly proud that from now on we also belong to the seal bearers. This not only proves the excellent quality of our solution, we also clearly underline our USPs -sustainable, holistic and future-proof.”, so Norbert Weckerle, CEO at apollon.
