apollon receives award “TOP 100” of the year 2023

Top 100
TOP 100 was launched by compamedia GmbH in 1993. Since then, the company from Überlingen on Lake Constance has been the leading provider of benchmarking projects in the SME sector. TOP 100 project partners are the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW). Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration has been the scientific director of TOP 100 since 2002. He developed the method used to analyze the innovation management of medium-sized companies. With 25 research awards and over 200 publications, he is one of the leading innovation researchers internationally. The mentor of TOP 100 is science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.

Online apollon in the TOP 100
On behalf of compamedia, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative strength of apollon GmbH+Co. KG. The analysis comprised around 100 test criteria in five categories: “Innovation-promoting top management,” “Innovation climate,” “Innovative processes and organization,” “Open innovation/external orientation” and “Innovation success. Two questions formed the central element of the evaluation. The aim was to find out whether innovations are a product of chance or the result of a systematic approach. Furthermore, the focus was on how ideas are successfully transformed into market successes. The TOP 100 researchers are thus able to make a statement about the likelihood that companies will continue to be successful in the future. The analysis is also designed to take into account the specifics of very different industries and company sizes.

apollon is one of the leading software providers for PIM and DAM systems. By receiving the “TOP 100” award, apollon was confirmed to have successfully fulfilled all required criteria of the scientific selection process. This makes apollon one of the trendsetters in its industry and one of the 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

The award ceremony will take place on June 23, 2023, at the “Kongress am Park” in Augsburg. On this day, the mentor of TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar, together with compamedia and Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, personally honors all TOP 100 entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the three “Innovators of the Year” will also be announced on this day.
