OMN and Adobe InDesign
Connect layout work with media and production workflows in OMN. Different components support InDesign: asset access, additional document information and print-project planning.
Use assets from within your layout application
The OMN CI HUB Connector provides access to OMN assets from supported Adobe applications such as InDesign. You do not need to download files separately and move them between folders first.
Add document information when saving
The OMN Page Preview Plugin for InDesign, developed by apollon, saves additional layout information when an InDesign document is saved. OMN documentation describes it for Windows and macOS and as free to use with OMN.
The preview plug-in and CI HUB Connector serve different purposes. The right combination depends on whether you need asset access, document information or a broader publishing workflow.
Plan print projects across teams
OMN Channel Management supports planning and managing campaigns and provides an overview of catalogues and chapters. Add-ons such as Flatplan extend this layer. This does not automatically replace layout work in InDesign.
For your project, we check InDesign and OMN versions, operating system, required plug-ins and hand-offs between editors and designers. Automated page generation is a separate use case that needs its own specification.
