In particular, the solution contributes to further digitalization in marketing departments.
German Innovation Award
Once a year, the German Innovation Award honours products and solutions across industries that differ primarily in their user-centric approach and added value compared to previous solutions. Small companies as well as groups from the B2B or B2C sector can take part. The only requirement is that applications are examined by the German Design Council and nominated if accepted. Only after receipt of the nomination will applicants be admitted to the competition. With the nomination procedure, the German Design Council wants to ensure the excellence of the award. A distinction is made between the two competition categories „Excellence in business to consumer“ and „Excellence in business to business“. In addition, in the superordinate category „Design thinking“, projects are honoured that have used agile innovation methods such as Design thinking, Scrum, Lean Start-up or Sprint on their way to innovation. The jury is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from industry, science, institutions and finance. Entries are evaluated according to the criteria of innovation level, user benefit and cost-effectiveness. The innovation strategy should consider aspects such as social, ecological, economic sustainability and the use of energy and resources. Factors such as location and employment potential, durability, market maturity, technical quality and function, materiality and synergy effects also play a decisive role in the judging process. In 2020, the German Innovation Award was again very well received with 700 entries.
Norbert Weckerle, CEO of apollon: „The German Innovation Award honours projects that are groundbreaking – especially those that stand out from previous work due to their user-centric approach and added value. I am therefore particularly pleased that our latest release of the successful software suite OMN5 is among the winners of the German Innovation Award 2020. Our innovative strength was once again proven when it comes to an excellent product experience in omnichannel marketing„.
Tobias Marks, Director Sales of apollon: „OMN5 is groundbreaking. Because we have not only implemented a new, consistent user interface – OMN5 has state-of-the-art technologies and maximum automation thanks to artificial intelligence (AI). These are three decisive prerequisites that clearly distinguish our solution from other systems on the market. But and this is the crucial point. We always want to provide our customers with the right OMN for their marketing future that meets their requirements, and this is only possible with innovation. “
