Management increases shares in apollon

apollon, leading software provider for marketing automation and product data communication, changes the shareholder structure. Tobias Marks, responsible for sales and marketing at apollon, has acquired ten percent of the shares at the turn of the year. At the same time Norbert Weckerle, CEO of apollon, has increased his shareholding to 30 percent. The majority shareholder remains Meyle+Müller GmbH+Co. KG. Norbert Weckerle commented on the change in the shareholder structure: „I am pleased to have gained a competent sales expert and a valuable partner in the management team for the company in Tobias Marks. I am sure that he will successfully develop the topics of sales and marketing with great skill and in line with the corporate strategy“.

In the course of a strategic reorientation in 2015, the media and IT service provider Meyle+Müller has decided to spin off the core areas „IT Media“ and „New Media“ into the independent company apollon, with the aim of strengthening and further expanding its core competencies. Eugen Müller, CEO of Meyle+Müller, comments: „I am delighted with how apollon has developed in the five years since the spin-off. The company has not only become one of the leading solution providers on the market; apollon is also the IT competence center of our now grown M+M Group. I am pleased that my partner Norbert Weckerle has significantly increased his shares and that Tobias Marks is now also a member of the shareholder group“.

About the shareholders:
Norbert Weckerle (48), managing director at Meyle+Müller GmbH+Co KG and CEO at apollon GmbH+Co KG, has strategic and operational responsibility at apollon. Since 1995, Weckerle has been involved with IT solutions in the media environment. He completed an apprenticeship as a publishing house clerk and worked as a consultant and project manager after his studies of economics, before he became and works as deputy division manager, authorized signatory and later as managing director at Meyle+Müller GmbH+Co. KG in 2006.

Tobias Marks (36), Director Sales, studied business administration in Stuttgart, Berlin and Brasilia and gained experience in several companies in the IT sector during this time. After graduating in 2012, he held various positions at Meyle+Müller and apollon. Today Tobias Marks is Director Sales and as a new member of the management board he will be responsible for sales and marketing at apollon.
